1 cup milk = 1/2 cup evaporated milk + 1/2 cup water

Most recipes work with any milk. For baking, whole milk is the standard.

    1/2 cup evaporated milk + 1/2 cup water

    A good swap in baking and cooking.

  2. Option 2

    1 cup unsweetened oat, soy or almond milk

    A 1:1 swap in baking and cooking. Soy milk is closest in protein, which helps cakes set.

  3. Option 3

    1 cup water + 1 tablespoon melted butter

    In an emergency for baking. The result is less rich.
