Chewable is a recipe management and cooking assistance application that provides:

• Recipe storage, organization, and management
• AI-powered recipe import from external websites
• Smart shopping list generation and management
• AI Chef Assistant for cooking advice and recipe suggestions
• Recipe rating and tracking of cooking history
• Multi-tenant functionality for family/household recipe sharing
• Recipe optimization and personalization features

3. User Accounts

Account Creation

You must create an account to use the Service. You agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information
• Maintain and update your account information
• Maintain the security of your account credentials
• Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access or security breach

Account Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement.

4. User Content

Your Content

You retain ownership of recipes, comments, ratings, and other content you submit to the Service ("User Content"). By submitting User Content, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, modify, and display your User Content solely for the purpose of operating and improving the Service.

Content Guidelines

You agree not to submit content that:

• Infringes on intellectual property rights of others
• Contains harmful, offensive, or inappropriate material

5. Recipe Import and Third-Party Content

Our recipe import feature allows you to extract recipe information from external websites. You acknowledge and agree that:

• You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to import and save recipes
• Imported recipes are for personal, non-commercial use only
• We do not claim ownership of recipes imported from third-party websites
• Recipe creators and publishers retain their original rights
• You should respect copyright and terms of use of source websites

6. AI-Powered Features

Our AI Chef Assistant and recipe optimization features use artificial intelligence to provide suggestions and advice. You acknowledge that:

• AI-generated content is provided for informational purposes only
• We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of AI suggestions
• You are responsible for verifying cooking instructions, ingredient substitutions, and dietary information
• We are not liable for any allergic reactions, food safety issues, or health problems resulting from following AI advice
• Always exercise caution and use your own judgment when cooking

7. Subscription and Payments

In-App Purchases

The Service may offer subscription plans or in-app purchases for premium features:

• Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
• Payment will be charged to your Apple App Store account at confirmation of purchase
• Subscriptions may be managed and auto-renewal may be turned off in your account settings
• No refunds for partial subscription periods

Price Changes

We reserve the right to modify subscription prices at any time. Price changes will apply to new subscriptions and renewals after the change is implemented.

8. Prohibited Uses

You may not:

• Use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
• Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access the Service
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
• Circumvent any security features or access restrictions

9. Intellectual Property Rights

The Service and its original content (excluding User Content), features, and functionality are owned by Chewable and are protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws.

Our trademarks and trade dress may not be used without our prior written consent.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• Warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose
• Accuracy, reliability, or completeness of content
• Uninterrupted or error-free operation
• Security or absence of viruses
• Food safety or dietary suitability

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CHEWABLE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

• Indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
• Loss of profits, revenue, data, or use
• Food poisoning, allergic reactions, or health issues resulting from recipes or cooking advice
• Damages resulting from third-party content or websites
• Unauthorized access to your account or data

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Chewable, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

• Your use of the Service
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any rights of another party
• Your User Content

13. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the Service immediately, without prior notice, for:

• Violation of these Terms
• Fraudulent, abusive, or illegal activity
• Request by law enforcement or government agency
• Unexpected technical or security issues
• Extended periods of inactivity

You may terminate your account at any time through the app settings. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease.

14. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of material changes by posting the updated Terms in the app or through other communications. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitute acceptance of the updated Terms.

15. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Chewable operates, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

16. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through:

• Initial good-faith negotiations between you and Chewable
• Binding arbitration if negotiations fail, as per applicable law

17. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
