1 cup heavy cream = 3/4 cup whole milk + 1/4 cup melted butter

Substitutes for 1 cup heavy cream

  1. Option 1

    3/4 cup whole milk + 1/4 cup melted butter

    For cooking and baking only. It will not whip.

  2. Option 2

    1 cup full-fat coconut cream

    A 1:1 swap in soups, curries and desserts. Chilled coconut cream can be whipped.

  3. Option 3

    1 cup evaporated milk

    Lighter, but works in soups, sauces and custards.
